Bowmore and Aston Martin unveil latest whisky

Islay distillery Bowmore has released a 21-year-old single malt whisky in partnership with Aston Martin. Bowmore Masters’ Selection was a collaboration between Bowmore master whisky blender Ron Welsh and Aston Martin executive vice president and chief creative officer Marek Reichman. The 51.8% ABV Scotch whisky includes 21-year-old Bowmore whisky that was aged in first-fill Pedro Ximénez and oloroso Sherry casks.

Heineken to buy S.Africa’s Distell and Namibian Breweries

Dutch brewer Heineken (HEIN.AS) said on Monday it planned to take control of South Africa’s Distell Group Holdings (DGHJ.J) and Namibia Breweries Ltd (NBS.NM) to form a southern Africa drinks group worth 4 billion euros ($4.6 billion). The takeover of Distell would mark a push into wine and spirits for the world’s second-largest beer maker, with liqueur brand Amarula and wines labels Nederburg and Two Oceans.
