Heineken reacts to Ronaldo’s Coca-Cola snub at Euro 2020; deletes tweet after Pogba moves beer bottle

Even though Heineken Lager Beer is yet to respond to Paul Pogba’s snub of the sponsored product at the UEFA Euro 2020, the official sponsors of the ongoing European Championship had quipped about Cristiano Ronaldo’s gesture towards Coca-Cola pet bottles at a traditional press conference. In one of the deleted tweets, beverage giant Heineken had reportedly responded to Ronaldo’s snubbing of the soft drink bottles by sharing a post on Tuesday. 

Taking to Twitter, the official social media handle of Heineken acknowledged Ronaldo’s dislike for soft drinks. The beverage giant had also congratulated the Portugal captain for scripting history at the 16th edition of the UEFA Euro. “We know he prefers ‘agua’, but cheers to the all-time top scorer! #HUNPOR #Euro2020 #SupportResponsibly,” Heineken had said in a tweet following Ronaldo’s match-winning performance against Hungary.
