Heineken is facing massive beer shortages due to huge demand as over 10 million returned to UK pubs after its reopening. Two of Heineken’s biggest brands, Moretti and Amstel, have been affected, with pubs and bars struggling to secure kegs. According to a Heineken spokeswoman, the demand for Moretti and Amstel had surpassed their most optimistic forecasts.’ Some licensees turned to local wholesalers, who were also running out of stock. Heineken’s breweries are working overtime to deal with this high level of demand”.In the meantime, Heineken is offering customers alternative beers from its extensive range of brands as they work to increase production.
