BORIS JOHNSON took to a Downing Street press conference on Monday in which he confirmed the Government would be going ahead with plans to ease lockdown. So when do beer gardens reopen? Prime Minister Boris Johnson said on Monday a planned reopening of certain parts of the economy, also known as Stage Two of the Government’s lockdown roadmap, would be going ahead. With the vaccine programme rollout going well in the UK and the addition of falling infection rates, Mr Johnson said England would go to the next phase, but warned people should continue working from home when possible and to minimise domestic travel. The Government also confirmed they are looking at a Covid-status certification system, or vaccine passports, to help the reopening of larger events and venues in the coming months.
